This beautiful self catering apartment occupies the entire ground floor of a charming small townhouse in one of Edinburgh’s most perfect Georgian Squares. Located in the quirky bohemian village of Stockbridge yet only a 10 minute walk to the city centre.
The hustle of Stockbridge village will not disappoint. It’s a great place for shop browsing by day and eating and drinking by night. Set around a maze of cobbled streets it’s a marketplace for antiques and quality gifts, specialty food, many art galleries, second hand bookshops and vintage boutiques. Virtually next door to the apartment are the glorious Glenogle Baths, restored to their Victorian splendor of 1897 only last year and well worth a visit for a morning dip.
The apartment has two bedrooms and is beautifully decorated throughout, with ornate cornices, stylish shutters and deep window seats. The spacious rooms are tastefully furnished in contemporary classic style. The decor is soft and warm and contrasted with inspired mirrors and distinctive lighting. You will find the most impeccable standards of cleaning and comfort throughout.

Perfect place to stay
From the moment I booked the apartment at Saxe Coburg Place, I knew
I had made the right choice. Laura's communication was speedy and very friendly ... I knew we would be well looked after. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by Laura's partner Eric and he went out of his way to be accommodating on our departure. The apartment is just as it looks in the photos and the numerous extra touches, like the fresh flowers in every room, Prosecco, crisps, fruit bowl, shortbread, quality teas and coffee made it feel even more special. Whilst the bathrooms and kitchenette are on the small side, they have everything you could need. All in all, it is a very special place to stay and the location in this quiet Georgian crescent, with the swimming baths (beautifully restored) virtually next door, couldn't be bettered. The immediate area of Stockbridge has everything you could wish for and the city itself is an easy walk, (despite being uphill) with much fine architecture to admire enroute. The Botanical Gardens are wonderful and only a few minutes walk away.
We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and will definitely return.

Perfect apartment
We had the most wonderful stay in Saxe Coburg Place with our two young children (aged 1 and 4). The apartment was spotless and Laura and her colleague Catriona couldn’t have been more helpful, supplying a cot and highchair. The communal garden in front of the apartment was excellent for the children blowing off steam and brilliantly secure. We shall certainly be returning on our next Edinburgh visit! Many thanks.

Elegant Comfort
We had a marvelous 4 day stay at the end of Aug. Laura is welcoming, met us with lots of suggestions about Stockbridge and lots of attentive extras in the apartment. Fresh Flowers, Coffee, Treats. The living area is large, light and inviting. The beds are great. The home is furnished beautifully with lovely artwork. We really enjoyed our local walks, going to the Bailie, Dean Village. It was a do-able walk to the Royal Mile but connects in 10 with bus. We were two adults couples and we all agreed we'd stay at Laura's again. Jeralyn B

Spectacular
Although we never got to meet Laura she is the best, she had coffee and cookies and nibbles for us when we got there which was late and nothing open. The flat was clean and well equipped and convenient to local pubs and grocery store and on the ground floor. Safe quiet area with temporary parking out front. We definitely would recommend this apartment and hope to return someday.
